Division 1 & 2 Round 1
With the start of the 2025 NTFA Season only a matter of sleeps away, we would like to preview the games across the weekend that will kick us off for the new season.
Division 1:
Lilydale vs George Town: These clubs have not played against each other in 41 years! This will be a game to watch as 2 teams look to restart the rivalry.
Bridgenorth vs Rocherlea: Having both finished in the top 4 last year, these 2 competitive teams will again look to hash it out at Bridgenorth this Saturday.
Bracknell vs Hillwood: 4th & 5th for Season 2024, what will change this year? Both teams coming off strong pre-seasons and hungry for a win in round 1.
St Pats vs Old Scotch: Two out of the four teams who got promoted a division from last year go head-to-head. Old Scotch are the reigning premiers, do they have what it takes to do it again in a new look competition?
Division 2:
Evandale vs Bridport: With a new coach, Evandale will look to hit the ground running in their opening clash against the seagulls, can they get the job done against Bridport who made it to the Preliminary final last year?
East Coast vs Perth: The East Coast Swans have potentially had the best off-season in terms of recruitment, whilst Perth went down in straight sets after losing last year's qualifying final by 1 point against Lilydale. This is a game to watch.
Campbell Town vs University: Campbell Town's switch to the NTFA has been impressive in terms of recruitment and should match up well against University
